EMC Mail users can contact the Postmaster: floridian@emailclub.com

If you do not yet have EMC mail capability, see how this unique system works. Send a test email message to the above address. Then see the automatic reply. We DO NOT track or retain your address because we dislike spam as much as you do.

This unique system is ideal for persons who use email to keep in touch with friends and associates who are also fed up with having to wade through and delete spam mail. This doesn't affect how you use your existing email in any way.

Thousands of email users in more than 50 countries are already tapping into the best (and possibly the only) fool-proof method of maintaining privacy — hiding their primary email address from spammers and using a common email gateway with one's most frequent correspondents that is computerized to block junk-email. Youngsters can now be isolated from inappropriate junk-email by setting them up with this system.

The E-Mail Club, online since 1994, recently launched such a system, linked to an automated web site. Anyone can quickly and easily obtain a personal email address in the form of username@emailclub.com by paying a $20 one-time "dues" for lifetime "club membership". Using EMC Mail with one's frequent correspondents provides a valuable safeguard against spam, including junk-mail containing viruses, for a fraction of the cost of anti-spam software and without having to download, install, register and configure software that may end up by filtering out important messages.

"Even if one never uses any other features of The E-Mail Club, obtaining access to this remarkable email system is well worth the twenty-dollar lifetime membership. The additional benefits are extraordinary for the price."

Once registered, identifying oneself on the site by means of one's current email address produces a unique username and an EMC Mail address of username@emailclub.com that can be customized by the user to any username that has not already been taken. You DO NOT GIVE UP YOUR PRESENT EMAIL ADDRESS. The new EMC Mail address is used whenever you want to keep your present address hidden in outgoing messages and for confidental use with selected correspondents, who also are registered with EMC Mail (all other "Club members"). Anyone can, at any time, change her EMC Mail address simply by changing her username. Even your primary (forwarding) email address can be changed without affecting your memberhip. There are never any additional or monthly charges and one's EMC Mail capability is permanent.

The concept behind this system is remarkably clever and simple. Incoming messages addressed to one's EMC Mail address (username@emailclub.com) are forwarded to one's current (hidden) email address. However, EMC Mail provides far more than just an email forwarding service. By controlling the mail servers through which messages are routed by both senders and receivers, EMC can exercise email controls. If messages are directed to multiple recipients, for example, they are "flagged" for non-delivery. The volume of outgoing mail from any individual address is also monitored.

A person having an address @emailclub.com will continue to get email sent to her current email address and she can send messages, as always, to other than emailclub.com addresses bearing her regular return email address. When she sends a message from her regular email address to another member however, the system recognizes her as having an EMC address and replaces her return address with hers @emailclub.com, thereby hiding and protecting her actual address! Messages sent from addresses other than @emailclub.com will not be delivered when sent to her EMC Mail address, but returned to the sender with a message informing the sender that, for privacy and to eliminate spam, she has chosen to use EMC Mail.

Incoming mail is forwarded to one's existing inbox, despite the fact that persons sending mail to username@emailclub.com have no way of discovering that address. The EMC Mail system was designed initially to enable members of The E-Mail Club to correspond without revealing their actual email addresses. By joining and remaining anonymous, anyone can use EMC Mail jointly with regular correspondents such as family, friends, business associates and highly personal contacts to provide mutual privacy and spam protection for its users, both sending and receiving. Any EMC Mail user who violates strict anti-spam rules or exceeds a certain number of outgoing messages runs the risk of having her membership revoked and her EMC Mail account cancelled.

Spammers operate by signing up for many free accounts from internet email providers. When one account is discovered and shut down, the spammer begins sending from another. By requiring "dues" per account and subjecting both outgoing and incoming mail to computerized controls EMC Mail makes it inconvenient, costly and virtually impossible for spammers, who will find easier ways to deliver an ever increasing number of unwanted messages, but not to EMC Mail addresses.
